The hotel has a clean and comfortable vibe, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. However, the rooms could use some updates as they feel a bit tired, and the location is a bit of a climb from town, which can be tough without a car. The dining options were not ideal for the price, and the noise from the gym and lift was a bit distracting.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were clean, but a little tired and in need of updating. The carpet had some wear and tear, and you could hear noise from the gym and the lift.
Service
9.0
The staff was wonderfully helpful and went above and beyond to assist us, especially Hayley at check-in.
Location
7.0
The hotel is located in Fernhill, which is a bit of a climb from the town center, making it less convenient if you’re relying on public transport.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were average and disappointing for the price, with a general buffet fare that didn’t impress.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities included a gym and pool, which were okay, but nothing too special, and the pool could have been warmer.

7.4/10

The hotel has a modern and spacious feel, with friendly staff who are extremely accommodating. The location is great, just a short walk to the town center, but the dining options could use some improvement. While the rooms were comfortable, the bathrooms need some updating, and access to basic amenities like water was disrupted during my stay.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were modern and spacious with large, soft beds, though the bathroom had an older style that didn't quite match the images.
Service
8.0
The staff was super friendly and made every effort to assist us, although we faced issues like a musty smell in the room and some outdated fixtures.
Location
9.0
The hotel is located a nice short walk from the town center, with beautiful lake views along the way, making it quite relaxing.
Dining
6.0
Dining was okay, with improved meal options since my last visit. However, it still felt a bit underwhelming, and lunch choices were limited.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities were decent but could use some updates, especially in the bathrooms and pools, to reflect the overall modern vibe of the hotel.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The location is fantastic with breathtaking lake views, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. However, there were a few maintenance issues, and the service was hit or miss. Overall, it’s a decent place for a stay, but there’s room for improvement, especially with the dining experience.

Rooms

The staff was friendly and helpful most of the time, but there were moments when they seemed a bit dull and expressionless.
Location
9.0
The hotel is in a great location with nice views of the lake and easy access to scenic walks into the city.
Dining

The dining experience was ok, with well-presented meals, but I would have liked more variety in the breakfast options.

5.4/10

I recently stayed at the hotel and found it to have a lovely location near Lake Wakatipu, which was a plus. The staff was friendly and accommodating, although the rooms felt quite outdated and were overpriced for what they offered. The breakfast service was chaotic, and the dining options were underwhelming. Overall, there were some good aspects, but several things definitely needed improvement.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were pretty dated and felt cramped, not really worth the price for the view of overgrown gardens. It could definitely use a makeover.
Service
6.0
The staff was generally accommodating, but I found it tough for families as there were no microwaves available to help feed our newborn.
Location
7.0
The hotel had a nice location, a short walk to the lake, but being a bit out of town made things slightly inconvenient, especially going uphill.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was really crowded and pretty average, not very exciting at all. I also noticed a line forming outside.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities looked nice, but the spa pool could have been warmer, and overall, the hotel just felt tired.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The views from the rooms were stunning, and the buffet breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of delicious options. However, the condition of the rooms left a lot to be desired; there were maintenance issues and a musty smell from the carpet. The friendly staff made my stay enjoyable, but the overall room experience wasn't ideal.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms boasted beautiful views, but they were in need of serious maintenance and smelled musty. The chipped tiles and flaky paint didn't give off the most inviting vibe.
Service
10.0
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated the young waiter in the restaurant who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable.
Location
8.0
The location is great, just a 7-10 minute walk to the town center with stunning lake views along the way. It's away from the busy parts of Queenstown, making it a nice retreat.
Dining
9.0
The breakfast has improved significantly since my last visit, with fresh options and plenty of variety. It was delicious despite the average view in the breakfast room.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities were basic, but the overall ambiance could use an upgrade. Still, it was a decent stay overall.
